Infection Cause Sciatica
Recent studies have reported that there may be a link
between certain types of diseases and a condition referred to
as infection cause sciatica.
Normally, sciatica is diagnosed as a pain that radiates down
the back of a patients leg. Usually the culprit is
pressure at the root of the sciatic nerve. This can often
be caused by a muscle spasm. The muscle spasm will then cause a
herniated disk. Herniated disks put undue pressure on the
lumbar region and the root of the sciatica nerve. Since
the sciatica nerve actually extends all the way down through
the leg. Often times though, an MRI fails to reveal any kind of
pinch in the lumbar region, an MRI should be able to identify
any herniated disks. However, in some cases there is no
herniated disk. If this is the case it may be necessary to
check for infections. Medical studies increasingly show
that infection cause sciatica is becoming more common.
An infection in other parts of the body can
cause the pain most often diagnosed as sciatica.
Infection cause sciatica can be caused due to kidney or bladder
infections or even PMS. That being the case the treatment
of infection cause sciatica first involves treating the
infection. In addition to treating the infection, therapy
treatments in order to alleviate pain such as massage, heat and
cold therapy will greatly reduce pain. In the case of
infection cause sciatica, acupuncture and chiropractic
treatment can do little other then help with the pain.
Once the pain subsides, activity is recommended in order to
speed up recovery and to strengthen muscular development.
Increasing the strength of the lumbar muscles can go along way
to preventing recurring sciatica. Part of preventing
infection cause sciatica is staying healthy. All around
health means a stronger body better able to resist infection
and infection cause sciatica.
